Terms
Last updated: May 10, 2026
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of LinkStats.io ("we", "us", "the service"). By creating an account or clicking any short link we serve, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service in plain English
LinkStats.io lets you create short links on your own custom domain and shows you analytics for them. We host the redirector and dashboard; you bring the domain and the destination URLs.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older, or have your guardian's permission.
- One person or business per account. Don't share login credentials.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
What you can't link to
You agree not to use LinkStats.io to redirect to, distribute, or facilitate:
- Spam, phishing, or any deceptive content (including fake login pages).
- Malware, ransomware, exploit kits, or anything that harms a visitor's device.
- Content that is illegal where you or your visitors are located.
- CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that exploits minors.
- Doxxing, harassment, or threats of violence.
- Pirated software, media, or other intellectual-property infringement.
- Anything designed to evade our anti-abuse systems (e.g. cloaking the destination).
We can suspend or remove any link — and the account behind it — that we reasonably believe violates these rules, with or without notice.
Lead capture
If you enable lead capture on a link, you are the data controller for the names and emails you collect. You must:
- Tell visitors why you're collecting their info and how you'll use it.
- Honor unsubscribe and deletion requests promptly.
- Comply with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and any other law that applies to you.
- Not use captured emails for unrelated marketing, resale, or list-trading.
LinkStats.io is not a marketing email platform — exporting your leads to a tool that handles consent and unsubscribes (your CRM, ConvertKit, etc.) is on you.
Billing
- The 14-day free trial requires no payment method.
- After the trial, plans are billed monthly via Stripe at the price shown in your dashboard.
- You can cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops future charges; we don't pro-rate the current period.
- If a payment fails, we'll email you and pause new link creation; existing links keep redirecting for a grace period.
- Refunds are at our discretion. We're reasonable about it — just ask.
Your content stays yours
You own your destination URLs, your captured leads, and your analytics data. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and serve that data to you and to people clicking your links — that's the only way the service works.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime, but we don't promise the service will always be available, error-free, or perfectly secure. If something breaks, tell us at hello@linkstats.io and we'll fix it as fast as we reasonably can.
Termination
You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Danger Zone. Existing short links stop redirecting once your account is deleted. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or if continued service exposes us or other users to risk.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 100, whichever is greater). We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service, your content, the destinations you link to, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes get a 14-day notice via email. Continued use after the notice period means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to bring any dispute in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
